Manuscript submission overview
Manuscripts submitted to MJHAS should neither be published previously nor be under consideration for publication in another journal.
- Types of Contributions: Original Research Articles, Reviews, and Short Communications.
- Submission process
Manuscripts intended for publication in MJHAS should be submitted through our online platform. The submitting author, typically the corresponding author, is responsible for the manuscript during the submission and peer review processes. The submitting author must ensure that all eligible co-authors have been included in the author list and that they have all read and approved the submitted version of the manuscript. When you are ready to submit your paper, please go to our Online Submission Form, which is designed to be as quick and easy as possible. All co-authors can see the manuscript details in the submission system if they register and log in using the e-mail address provided during manuscript submission.
- Author Affiliation
Authors are required to provide their current affiliation along with the institution where the majority of the research for their manuscript was conducted.
Accurate author names and affiliations are crucial. Once an article is published, updates or corrections to the author's address or affiliation may not be permitted.
Manuscript Preparation
- Manuscript Title
The title should be brief and concise. The title should be in running text, bold, font size 16. Do not use ‘&’ symbol and avoid using abbreviations.
- Author names and affiliations
The following information should be included:
1- Author's full name
2- The affiliation(s) of the author(s), i.e. institution, (department), city, (state), country.
3- A clear indication and an active e-mail address of the corresponding author.
4- The 16-digit ORCID of the author(s).
- Abstract
A concise and factual abstract is required. The abstract should state briefly the purpose of the research, the principal results, and major conclusions, and should be between 150-250 words.
- Keywords
Immediately after the abstract, please provide 4 to 6 keywords separated by commas that can be used for indexing purposes. We recommend that the keywords are specific to the article, yet reasonably common within the subject discipline.
- Introduction
The introduction should briefly describe the background of the work with updated information, state the aim of the study and its significance, including specific hypotheses being tested, briefly mention the main aim of the work, and highlight the main conclusions. The introduction should be supported by authentic standard references from journals.
- Headings and format
Sections and subsections should be numbered as 1, 2, etc. and 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.2 respectively, except for abstract, keywords, acknowledgement, and references. The section should be formatted as left, bold, Times New Roman, and 12pt font size. For subsections (left, italic, Times New Roman, and 12pt), and for other sub-subsections (left, italic, Times New Roman, and 11pt).
- Figures, tables, and equations
Upon submission of an article, authors should include all figures and tables in the file of the manuscript.
* Tables should be numbered consecutively in accordance with their appearance in the text, and there captions must be placed before the table. Footnotes for tables can be placed below the table body. Footnotes needed to be indicated with superscript lowercase letters.
* All figures should be cited in the manuscript in a consecutive order. Figures should be supplied in either vector art formats (Illustrator, EPS, WMF, FreeHand, CorelDraw, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) or bitmap formats (Photoshop, TIFF, GIF, JPEG, etc.). Bitmap images should be of 300 dpi resolution, unless the resolution is intentionally set to a lower level for scientific reasons. If a bitmap image has labels, the image and labels should be embedded in separate layers.
* Any table, figure or picture must have a caption (Figure 1., Table 1: etc.) followed by a proper description. (Example: Figure 1. The Langmuir isotherm adsorption of the compound -1- on the carbon steeel in 1.0 M HCl at different temperatures. ).
* Equations: If you are using Word, please use either the Microsoft Equation Editor or the MathType add-on. Equations should be editable by the editorial office and not appear in picture format.
- Materials and Methods
This section should be described with sufficient detail to allow reproduction of the work. New methods and protocols should be described in detail, while well-established methods can be briefly described and appropriately cited. Specify the computer software used for simulation or statistical analysis and define the terms, abbreviations, and symbols applied.
- Results and discussion
This section may be divided into subsections or may be combined. This should explore the significance of the results of the work. A combined results and discussion section is often appropriate. Avoid extensive citations and discussions of published literature.
- Conclusion
In this section, the authors should clearly explain the main conclusions of the article, highlighting its importance and relevance.
- CRediT authorship contribution statement
In the interest of transparency, we mandate that corresponding authors furnish co-author contributions to the manuscript utilizing the appropriate CRediT roles. The CRediT taxonomy encompasses 14 distinct roles, delineating each contributor's precise involvement in the scholarly output. It is important to recognize that not all roles may be applicable to every manuscript, and authors may have contributed through multiple roles.
- Appendices
If there is more than one appendix, they should be identified as A, B, etc. Formulae and equations in appendices should be given separate numbering: Eq. (A.1), Eq. (A.2), etc.; in a subsequent appendix, Eq. (B.1), and so on. Similarly for tables and figures: Table A.1; Fig. A.1, etc.
- Acknowledgements
All acknowledgements (if any) should be included at the very end of the manuscript before the references. Anyone who made a contribution to the research or manuscript but who is not a listed author, should be acknowledged (with their permission). Also, the names of funding organizations should be written in full. The financial support affiliation of the study, if it exists, must be mentioned in this section. Therefore, the grant number for financial support must be included
- Conflict of Interest
Authors must declare conflict(s) of interest at the time of submission of a manuscript for possible publication in MJHAS.
- References
References must include all and only works cited in the text and are to be arranged alphabetically. Works cited in the text within the same parentheses should be listed alphabetically. APA style is to be used for text citations and the reference list throughout (for details, see Publication Manual of the APA, 7th edition). In the reference list make sure to provide the DOIs (Digital Object Identifier) of the cited journal articles.
Citations and references in the Supplementary Material are permitted provided that they also appear in the reference list here.
